Detour Navi ("the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

1. Information Used

• Location and destination data: Your current location (used as the starting point), the destination you choose, search text and the waypoints the App calculates are used for maps and searches. Necessary data is sent to Apple Maps / MapKit.
• Purchase data: Products, purchase/refund/expiration status, transaction identifiers and a randomly generated RevenueCat app user ID.
• Usage data: App launches and returns to the foreground; search success, failure or temporary limits; usage counts; reaching the free limit; purchase-screen views and entry points; displayed prices and currencies; purchase and restoration outcomes; review-prompt requests; and app version.

Analytics events do not include coordinates, destinations, search text, routes, names, email addresses or advertising IDs. We do not use session recording, automatic screen/tap capture or IP-based location enrichment.

2. How Information Is Used

Information supports route suggestions, purchase verification and restoration, diagnosing problems, and improving the free allowance, purchase flow and pricing. It is not used for advertising or cross-app advertising tracking.

3. External Services

• Apple Maps / MapKit: maps, place and route searches
• RevenueCat: lifetime and existing subscription entitlements
• PostHog (EU region): usage and purchase-flow analytics

The randomly generated RevenueCat app user ID links usage with purchase and refund events. The RevenueCat integration with PostHog includes purchase data such as products, amounts, currencies and transaction identifiers. Service providers may receive IP addresses and other information needed to process network requests under their respective privacy policies.

4. Payment Information

Apple App Store processes payments. The App does not collect or store credit card numbers or Apple Account passwords.

5. Data Storage

Settings and usage counts are stored on your device. Usage counts stored in the iOS Keychain may survive removal of the App. Apple and RevenueCat manage purchase records; uninstalling the App does not automatically delete these records. PostHog analytics events are retained for up to one year under its free plan. To request deletion of analytics data or purchase records, contact us using the form below. We will ask for details such as the purchase date and product, and delete any data we can identify. Because analytics data contains no names or email addresses, we may be unable to identify it if you have no purchase record. We cannot delete purchase history held by Apple. Deleting the App stops further analytics events.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for all ages, but we do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to Privacy Policy

If we change this policy, we will post the changes and their effective date on this page.
